Hospital equipment checklist
A starting structure for planning departmental equipment, useful when converting a clinical plan into a procurement list.
General ward
Beds and mattresses, bedside cabinets, overbed tables, vital-signs monitors, medicine and dressing trolleys, examination lights, screens, waste and linen handling.
Intensive care
ICU beds, ventilators, patient monitors with central station, infusion and syringe pumps, suction, oxygen supply, emergency trolley and defibrillator.
Operating theatre
Operating table and accessories, surgical lights, anaesthesia machine and monitor, electrosurgical unit, instrument sets and tables, suction, positioning aids.
Support functions
Sterilization capacity, laboratory equipment, imaging, oxygen supply and storage frequently determine whether clinical areas can operate at planned capacity.
